Do It Yourself Search Engine Optimization Techniques For Website Success
Achieving success with the search engines is the goal of everyone that wants their website to be successful.  There are several keys to achieving this kind of popularity among the search engines.  First and foremost, you must have keyword rich html content for the search engines to read.  The top search engines have website crawlers that live on well structured and keyword rich html content.  Do you homework and use the Google Keyword Estimator Sandbox, https://adwords.google.com/select/TrafficEstimatorSandbox.  This is one of the best keyword traffic estimators you can use.  Simply use it to type in the keywords that describes your website, services, products, etc.  Then see which get the most hits per day with Google.  When you use those keywords in your website content, your website will start getting hits or visitors from the search engines.  The stronger your keyword rich content is, the more likely you will bring visitors to your site using those keywords.

Another very important element to have a successful website that is popular among the top search engines is a site map.  A site map is either a page that has text links to all of your web pages, or it's a list of html text links that are placed on all of your web pages.  These text links, link to every web page within your website.  A site map is important for the search engines because it is how the search engines know there is more pages to crawl.  When the search engine crawls your website, their spider will come across your html text links and follow the links to your other web pages.  Then the spider usually does a quick scan to see what's on the page.  Once the spider scans the other links and pages, it makes a cache of your website and web pages.  If there's allot of interesting keyword rich information, the search engine will usually send the spider back to your website soon to do a more thorough scan of your website contents.

An additional key to search engine success is your Meta page title and Meta keywords.  Once again, do your homework and use the Google keyword estimator or Sandbox to find the best, most popular keywords to use for your website.  Then use your Page Settings button from your EZLAVA Toolbar and select Meta (Text) from the list of available buttons.  From there, you can insert your page title, keywords, and description.

Alt tags are important for the visually impaired Internet user.  It's a perfect opportunity to add additional keyword rich text to your descriptive alt tags.  The major search engines also use the alt tag descriptions when they index websites as being the most relative to a specific keyword.  Place alt tags on all of your images in order to allow the search engines to know what the image relevance is.  If it's relevant to a specific search a user made, then your alt tags will come into play.
