Create Website Web Design
Successful websites take planning and lots of research.  You need to know who your competition is.  So many beginners fall into the same routine of not including SEO friendly HTML text on their web pages.  If you want to draw volume traffic to your website, you need to do your homework.  Provide the visitors to your website a unique experience they can't find anywhere else.  Is it a unique service, product, or information that gets searched for on the Internet often?  Find a niche for your website.  Provide the search engines with fresh website content to index.  And update your HTML text frequently.  Always show you're keeping your website's information current and up to date.
Create Great Website Content
I've seen countless beginners make two basic mistakes far too often.  New web designers, aka beginners, often create a website that is heavy in graphics, yet lacking any HTML text content in exception for a copyright notice.  If you don't have keyword rich HTML text within your website, you might as well be invisible.  Without it, there's nothing for the search engines to feed on.  Without the sustinence or right food, the search engines wont find a reason to visit your website.  They are interested in new fresh unique content that they can read.  Provide them that, and you will have a high traffic volume and high ranked website.
How To Make Successfull Websites
If you're just starting out and don't know anything about web sites and where to get started, don't worry.  We've all been in those shoes at one point or another.  Saturate yourself with the industry.  Read everything you can about the best ways to make websites work.  You'll find allot of useful information using the search engines.  Simply ask the right questions, and you'll receive a gold mine worth of information.  For beginners that are just trying out the shallow waters of the Internet, search engines are what drive traffic to your website.  Unless your website gets local or National media coverage, you should put quite some time into learning as much as you can about search engines.  Learn what helps you get a better ranking and why.  And know what hurts your ranking.  If you make the same common mistakes like so many beginners do, your website could be banned from some search engines all together.
